Pimp and Pros Pitch Paul for Prez

Hillary and Obama might court the unions and the NEA for their endorsement, Romney and Rudy the NRA and the Christian right, but only one candidate is truly getting whored-out in his campaign for president.
Ron Paul and prostitutes
That, of course, is Ron Paul, the Libertarian GOP hopeful (and prohibitive underdog), who has procured the ass-istance of perhaps the most famous legal brothel in the world -- Northern Nevada's BunnyRanch -- and its proprietor, Dennis Hof. In fact, TMZ has obtained an appeal from Hof to American voters, which Hof hopes will, as he puts it, "lubricate Ron Paul's path to the White House."

Unfortunately, Paul isn't on board with the program, because when we called his campaign manager to ask about the pimp support, he didn't sound too happy about it.

Mark Elam says that Congressman Paul "didn't solicit" Hof and his hoes -- certainly not their business, nor their political support. He tells us that, to his knowledge, Hof and Rep. Paul haven't met, nor does Paul sanction any form of prostitution.

As the libertarian-leaning candidate, Paul has been vocal in his support of states' rights, which, naturally, are amenable to the BunnyRanch and its business. Still, Paul is also strongly pro-life.

46. These "Adult entertainers" are plants by Tucker Carlson a MSNBC new "reporter". The media is running scared of Ron Paul and are trying to smear any way they can. Before you judge why dont you guys actually take a look at ontheissues.com and see how ron paul has actually voted on the issues.

BTW: article on Carlson's smear attempt -> http://www.truthnews.us/?p=999

48. I for one, have NOT been satisfied with how things are running in our government right now. I consider myself as a Strong Independent and look to a person's record before I vote for them. I refuse to take party lines because the bi-partisan system is flawed in my opinion, but that is another story. I blame both parties for much of what has happened recently. To tell you the truth, most of the front running candidates scare the living hell out of me! As far as a few of the candidates: Clinton- too political and I don't think things will change under her leadership. Obama, I saw the guy speak at ASU and as invigorating as he was, I don't think that he will get the votes and shamefully because of the Huge Racist Divide we still have in this country. Thompson is just a nut. Giuliani, ties to 911 and other factors make me say NO. Romney scares me and I think the divide between church and state will be burned to the ground. And despite being an Arizonan and respecting his veteran status, McCain is an old school Warhawk who will only make things worse. That's not everyone, but after all is said and done, the only one that I see left standing is Ron Paul. Based on this, he definitely has my vote if he can get the nod.

49. If you really want to throw away your vote then vote for Romney or Hillary or Obama or Gulianni. Anyone one of these will get you the same government we stupid Americans built. Oh yeah some will spend our money on war and some on welfare but they have one thing in common…. Government in your life. Democracy is the RIGHT to make the wrong decision. We are all responsible for ourselves. Whenever you allow a government to do something for you that same government will do something to you. We are 9.2 trillion in debt. The dollar is collapsing worldwide. The once mighty dollar is not wanted by anyone from oil states to supermodels. You can keep drinking the Koolaid thinking that someone can fix America. That someone can fix healthcare. That someone can fix social security. It will never ever ever happen. America was founded by Patriots that believed in Liberty. Liberty means doing whatever you want. Anything… as long as you do not infringe on another liberty. The founding fathers believed in very limited government. We now have more laws than any other country in history and more people in prison than any country in the world! Ron Paul may be extreme but we need extreme. Ron Paul may not endorse brothels but he will defend a states right to allow them. Our founding father risked everything to give us Liberty. We are more oppressed than they ever were yet we are too afraid to change. http;//www.defendersofliberty.com

52. RON PAUL WILL LEGALIZE MARIJUANA, END THE WAR ON DRUGS, AND END THE WARS OVERSEAS!! PLEASE SUPPORT RON PAUL!!!

53. I read all about Ron Paul's stand on the issues, and I disagree with
almost everything he believes. His proposed policies would destroy
America. He basically wants a weak, poor federal government, which is
the worst possible situation for the US. Weaken the federal
government, and you weaken our defense capabilities. He wants to give
all the power to individual states, which would create a bunch of
states with wildly different laws and regulations. It would be a
disaster.

He does get one thing right, however, he knows the Iraq war was a sham. For that, he's better than any other republican candidate. Although it is strange that he's even running as a republican. He should be running on a third party libertarian ticket.

54. I know this off-beat and well-publicized endorsement will dissuade some "values voters" from voting for Ron Paul. However, this reminded me of Jesse Ventura's bid for governor of Minnesota. His opponents publicized passages from Ventura's autobiography about his brothel romps, which apparently endeared him to a larger percentage of voters because the episode convinced them he would not become a dreaded moral crusader once elected.

There are big differences of course. Paul, a 72-year-old devout Christian, was hardly a brothel patron nor did he seek any such endorsement or donations, legal though they may be. Still, the story's wide distribution may deliver the same benefit to Paul as Ventura received.

55. Congressman Ron Paul is an honest, straight talking gentleman who is the ONLY candidate who not only believes in, but upholds, our US Constitution! I am 100% positive that I am voting for Ron Paul in the primaries! A handful of misguided people seem to think that this means I am "throwing away" my vote. Wrong. My vote for Ron Paul means a vote for America, for upholding our Constitution and for securing my daughter's future. A vote for a good man like Dr Ron Paul means a big EFF YOU to all the rest of those lying POS politicians shoving their lies and horrific political agendas down our throats. Ron Paul is a man of his word and is the only candidate who honors the promises he makes to his constituents, and we have a 10 term congressional record to prove it! That is why Ron Paul has MORE donations form our American Troops than any other candidate. Our Troops know what's up! Oh, and Ron Paul never takes donations from big business corporations or lobbying groups, so that he is never beholden to those despicable entities. He stands for US, the everyday American citizen. Get to know Ron Paul because this upcoming election will make or break America... and shouldn't we all find out as much about every candidate out there in order to make an informed decision? Wikipedia Ron Paul and the go to http://RonPaul2008.com and join us in taking back our country!

57. You people who are calling Ron Paul crazy should really do some research, just go to his website and look at the issues.

#58 it would destroy what you want as America (let me guess, Hillary or Obama?), but what you say is America is not what it was founded as.

I don't agree with Paul on every aspect of every issue, and I have nothing in common with him personally , but he is still what this country needs to survive and prosper.

I fail to understand why state's rights would be a bad thing. It would be a solution for so many issues. If you want medicinal pot, go to that state, if you want a legal abortion, go to that state, if you want gay marriage, there will be a state for that. If you don't, there will be states that are anti-everything as well.

Ron Paul is the only candidate I have ever sent $ to, and I will continue to do so. I do whatever I can to support him.

If you really read his stand on the issues and are appalled, then you are probably a Clintonite...you had your chance and it ended with a bj in the oval office, or maybe you are a neo-con, you had your chance and look at the mess we are in.

It's time for a real change.

58. You mean those are REAL LIVE prostitutes?!?! Only 3/8 look to be under the age of 45! Is that desparation when a woman allows herself to be pimped out, as she is pushing the over-the-hill marker?

OBVIOUSLY, he will NOT be taken anymore seriously than Mary Carey was - he as BIMBO-BROKER for goodness sake! Nobody takes Bimbo-Brokers or Bimbo's seriously! Nice portrait though. Bet their family's are proud!
