AG on Anna Nicole -- "Serious Crime Has Been Committed"

California Attorney General Jerry Brown says that he requested the search warrants executed earlier today in connection with the death of Anna Nicole Smith because, he believes, "a serious crime has been committed."

In a press conference just concluded, Brown didn't divulge specific details of what he was looking for, and what crimes might have been committed, but told reporters that "playing with dangerous drugs" can result in death and "prescribing drugs illegally is a crime," and he suggested people should "put it together."

As TMZ first reported earlier Friday, eight warrants were served today, including one at the home of Smith's former psychiatrist, Dr. Khristine Eroshevich, where Howard K. Stern happened to be time at the search. The Medical Board of California is investigating Eroshevich, who ordered a virtual pharmacy of drugs for Anna, five days after her son Daniel died.

61. Just what I thought would happens but so a year later to this date....There has to be justice for Anna and her son, who died for what? Stern better be on his toes and watch what he is wishing for....jailtime.??...and the dr. does she think she did anyone a favor, and not to get cought? well, think again, dr., I have been waiting for this to happen, so the law is above you after all....its about time ......
Pray for the Smith family and their loved ones....and baby Danielle , is without a mother and brother...so sad this was going on a year ago.......

It would not be a coincidence that they gave the search warrant while Howard K Stern was at the residence of the doctor who prescribed all the medications for Howard and Anna.

63. Attorney General Jerry Brown has been very happily married to a wonderful woman for several years now. She is a lawyer and very well matched - in his league.

You people need to stop your crowing about his dating Linda Ronstadt. Linda was not in his league. She pursued him because she fantasized that she could become California's latina First Lady. That was long ago. They have very different lives now.

66. Isn't it convient that Howie was on Larry King this week defended his self from all the bad things that have happened to him. He and his attorney new this was going down.
Nothing will ever happen to him. Maybe Virgie can file a wrongful death against him.

Good point. Anyone in law enforcement will tell you there's no such thing as coincidence!

Going after the doctors is one step.........it's $tern who needs to be on the hotseat, charged, convicted and imprisoned though.

72. I agree. Howard Ster is so guilty. He didn nothing to stop this doctor giving her drugs. How interesting that he was there when they served her. I'll tell you why, they were in on it together. They deliberetly murdered her so Howard who managed and stole her money and is now sitting in some off shore accounts can some how inherit 6% of that money. Figure that out people. He steals money from her, because she is so out of it, how would she know....and gets 6% of her millions if she wins in court. What a shady ba*stard.

75. The investigators will not let on what their real motives are right now. They are starting with the obvious, the doctors. That will just be the first layer that they start to peel away as they attempt to get down to the chewy center.
