Celebrity Justice
AG on Anna Nicole -- "Serious Crime Has Been Committed"

California Attorney General Jerry Brown says that he requested the search warrants executed earlier today in connection with the death of Anna Nicole Smith because, he believes, "a serious crime has been committed."

In a press conference just concluded, Brown didn't divulge specific details of what he was looking for, and what crimes might have been committed, but told reporters that "playing with dangerous drugs" can result in death and "prescribing drugs illegally is a crime," and he suggested people should "put it together."

As TMZ first reported earlier Friday, eight warrants were served today, including one at the home of Smith's former psychiatrist, Dr. Khristine Eroshevich, where Howard K. Stern happened to be time at the search. The Medical Board of California is investigating Eroshevich, who ordered a virtual pharmacy of drugs for Anna, five days after her son Daniel died.

46. Wasn't it already determined that Anna had infected injection sites on her buttocks in places where it would have been impossible for HER to reach herself? Therefore, it was proven that someone else must have been giving her these injections. I believe this is where the crime may come in. Correct me if I'm wrong???

49. Way to go #8. You give me hope that not everyone out there is stupid. She abused drugs and she died because of it. Let everyone out there especially the younger ones know that if you choose to abuse drugs it is your fault and your fault alone. The excuse card does not apply. Abuse drugs and you may die, and it will be no ones fault but your own.

52. Take your time and do it right. First, develop your case against the doctor's then prove that drugs were provided to someone not on the presciption that lead to their death. Two teens are currently serving time where I live for providing stolen prescription methadone pills to local teens at a local event which resulted in a couple of deaths. We don't mess around in our town.

Someone gave the methadone to Daniel or he stole it. I just hope we can get to the bottom of who handed him the drug. I have my suspicions...

Anyone know if its illegal to allow presciptions to be made, with your knowlege, in your name when it is meant for someone else. It seems only logical that there would be some culpability.

55. Larry will never get back the respect of the majority of the people. He lost it whe he sold
his soul to devil Stern for a dollar and when he started pimping the child for the almighty dollar.

58. It is about time! Thank you Jerry Brown! I hope to hell alot of people are brought down in this investigation. Howard Stern's dirty work may finally have caught up with him. He claimed to have loved Anna...no way. If he had really loved her he would have done everything possible to get her into rehab and keep her there. All the prescriptions in his name....and the doctors who are so celebrity sick that they too made sure she eventually would end up in a grave. Give them all hell Jerry!

As for Rita and the book, well, I'm not happy that she put herself in the compromising position she seems to have. I agree. She should have made the effort to speak directly to the nannies before the book went to press. At the very least she should have just put it on the record that they refused to talk with her recently without compensation and walked away. I think she really wanted to get to the bottom of all the discrepancies in this case. I'm not convinced that what she did was all that unusual.

I still don't understand why Lincoln Bains set her up. Why didn't he pressure the attorney to let her speak with the nannies instead? His flip flop is not making sense if all he wanted was the truth. Personally, I found the attorney a pain in the arse.
