Letterman Makes Paris Hilton "Sad"

Ex-con/socialite Paris Hilton appeared on "Late Show With David Letterman" last night -- and is sorry she did! The sardonic TV host harassed Hilton about her summer stay in the pokey -- and she wasn't having any of it.


At one point during the interview, an audience member screamed, "I love you Paris!" Letterman quipped, "Is that somebody you met in prison?" Ha! As the crowd erupted in laughter, Paris paused and said, "I didn't come here to talk about this. That was a long time ago. Now you're making me sad that I came."

Letterman then apologized and had Paris purring again.

94. Is it me, or is Paris one of the most unattractive women I have seen? You could perform a ski jump off her damn nose, dumb as a brick, and a boney azz body only a dog would love. All she did on Letterman was pout like a little girl, a growo woman would have stood up for herself. But what do you expect, uneducated and dumb, just goes to show you, all the money in the world, and not an ounce of sense. Paris is pathetic, and she she just go away.

She screws up and expects her stupidity to just go away? How many people does this twit influence? Apparently a lot by reading these comments. Why should she be given a pass...again? I really cannot grasp how anyone can feel sorry for her. What on earth do you people see in her? Her brillant acting ability, singing talent, party stamina, or her propensity to sleep with anything that moves? I know, it's her great intellect. Yes, that must be it.

103. Letterman's joke was FUNNY! That's why he's makng the big $$$. The fact that she wasn't bright enough to see it for the generic prison joke that it was just proves what a dim bulb she is. Letterman has been a success longer than Paris has even been alive, so he sees her just for what she is - an over-indulged rich kid with an inflated sense of her own fabulousness. The real joke is the number of young people who actually see her as a role model. Only it's a joke not nearly as funny as Letterman's.

105. wa wa waa #85: You absolutely have the facts wrong about Carson, Letterman and Leno. Where have you been for the last 15 years? Carson wanted Letterman to replace Carson, not Leno to replace Carson. NBC wanted Leno, not Letterman. Carson was Letterman's idol. Carson told Letterman to walk from NBC after Leno was picked over Letterman. Carson even sent at least one joke to Letterman, which he used in his monologue.
