111. My goodness, she is only 18 years old, I think she is amazingly well poised for her age.

Let's face it, the question was odd, and I would expect most people (especially in a high stress situation ) to be unclear as to what was really being asked.

The real shame goes on the person that wrote such a lame question, and those that would ridicule this young lady.

BTW, the answer, is that public education in this country stinks, and we need vouchers, but it goes way beyond the low geography scores!

I wouldn't answer that question like she did if I were 10 years old. Any 18 year old headed for college should be able to answer simple questions with intelligent answers!
Here's an idea: If you did not hear the question, ask the judge to repeat it. Don't B.S. your way through something you don't understand or risk sounding like this girl!

She answered the question just fine when she opened her dumb mouth!

116. All she needed to say was that all the money for education goes to the administrators and no money even enough to buy a map for US students gets to the classroom. The teachers pay a fortune for education and then when they start making enough to pay back their student loans they are run off so the school districts can hire young girls right out of college for no money. That's probably why she couldn't even answer a question as simple as that one without being overwhelmed. USA and Bill Gates who promises to change our school system needs to look at Germany and let kids go to vocational schools instead of reform schools during high school if they don't want to attend college bound students in high school.

118. Am I surprised? Not really. She used the TV host's questions to just restate them as an answer.

When you think about it, 1/5 of all Americans probably can't locate it because statistically they're probably counting toddlers or children under the age that can point that sort of thing out.

You were probably a nervous college student standing in front of the class. I can understand being nervous especially when you probably haven't spoken in front of an audience before, but this girl supposedly is asked all kinds of questions in beauty pageants. This isn't new to her, and she is supposed to be poised, prepared, and ready to go.

As a person who can't vote in the U.S., I have been wondering how GWB became the president not once but twice!!! If he is really as dumb as people describe/he shows, how come he got "elected?" I know about "he stole the presidency" story. If there are so many smart people in the U.S., how can this happen?
