Miss Teen Babbler -- But I CAN Speak!

She's the laughingstock of the Internet and beyond, after her babbling, dippy answer to a question at the "Miss Teen USA" pageant this past weekend, but Lauren Caitlin Upton got her chance at redemption today, courtesy of the "Today" show.


The 18-year-old South Carolina bumbling beauty got the chance at a redo, with a slightly less cubist answer, telling Matt Lauer and Ann Curry that she intended to study "special effects" in school (like how to make Blondish sound like English on live TV?) and even explained what a lunar eclipse was. Brilliant!

5. This was so staged by NBC. They own the Teen USA Awards so they had to give this ditz a break. Well we know she can read a prompter regarding the eclipse. This chick is a complete moron.

9. When I saw what she said at the pagent over the weekend I laughed along with everyone else, but you know what? Good for her! Good for her for going on live TV again and redeeming herself. We have all said something stupid that we later regret, so give her a break.

14. So what? She got nervous under pressure. The other girls had the easiest questions ever and she got stuck with one where she couldn't think fast enough. Give her a break. I highly doubt shes 'stupid'.
