196. Hmmm.. The way I see it is this.
1. You all say gay like its a bad thing. Breaks my heart. You can't help those for whom you love. How mean is that?

2. To say that someone is gay from their free expression, or emotion shown, or dancing, (which by the way mostly responsible along with that Progresso chicken soup for that amazing weight loss and look holy cow Mr. Hicks nice job) or because you don't happen to relate or like what you see, and use it as a derogatory remark? It's ignorance and ignorance is PROVED bliss as we can all see from the comments.

3. I have been a fan of Mr. Hicks for almost 18 months now. I have seen probably every on line video. I own all 4 of his cd's including the single he won that talent contest with. I have been to 6 concerts of his, 4 of his first solo spring tour just past, and been overwhelmed by his passion for not only his voice, his music but entertaining. To see the crowds of men women AND children rise to their feet and be taken to church as some of us middle aged fawning women are called, is really almost eery.. You can't help but get on your feet and dance your ass off and sing if you can keep up with him at his concerts. Fun, funky, jazzy.

And trust me, this woman found that VERY hard to do anywhere else, Mr. Hicks just MAKES you have a great time, makes you feel you are the guest of honor at a party he is throwing just for you.

4. What I've noticed in watching Mr. Hicks for all this time is HIS INCREDIBLE SEX APPEAL that transcends gender, age, and defys people to to NOT fall in love with this man that ooozes sweet sex soul... He doesn't need a hard body to get a hard body. I love LOVE LOVE his real, and his music. His Blues makes me cry its so real. He can get any woman he wants and apparantly he chose this woman to spend time with, good enough, some of you need to go develop some talent and appeal and make enough money to go to Hawaii instead of being lonely and trashing people out of jealousy online.. Just noticing. I do notice things like that.

5. She is an accomplished professional and musician. And for whatever reason he chose her I have to say, she must be awesome.

6. I see where people might have wondered if he was gay or bisexual.
He is HIGHLY educated and NOT the least bit overly macho, got to get the hottest woman of the week, rely on my hard body and my lines and money, anything for publicity to get the next hottest chick.

I know plenty PLENTY of wealthy well educated men that rely more on their craft, music, profession, and intellect, and don't play with women like they were objects. And the small sort, and those with "dar" so called, choose to overlook the real instead of relying solely on "sex sells" an individual. Sad, small and petty. Shallow.

In conclusion. SURE I would have LOVED to be the object of his affection, and you can quote me on that, but you will NEVER catch me being small and petty, hateful and rude to this women he chose to share his precious time with. Not to mention I certainly not in a league of young, professional, blonde, and driven.. LOL

Miss Lyders I sure hope you know what a catch you got to spend your time with.. Treat him well. And I just bet you are a gem yourself.

Another first. Last year I became a fangirly for the first time since the death of my last music icon John Lennon. Shoot after hearing Mr. Hicks original works I think I am a jazz enthusiast now as well.
And now I am posting on a Trashy rag site for the first and last time. I feel so dirty. Like sand on a baseball cap of a very deserving man of a vacation entertainer.

201. First let me start by saying I am and always have been a die hard Chris Daughtry fan. I do not dislike Taylor at all, I most certainly like him better then McPhee, I just have never been a blues fan. I do however, think that he is a great entertainer and he does sing very well. For everyone who is calling him old he is not old at all he is only 30. It just so happens that he has gray hair. This is nothing that he can help without dying his har. Why should he it is his signiture mark. Furthermore, you guys have got to be kidding me NO it is not a bald spot. Taylor is not fat he may be a little thick but not fat Rueben was fat. Yes he is Pale oh well better to be pale and healthy then to be tan and end up with skin cancer. How mean is to talk about that poor woman like she is a nobody with no feelings. I am sure that Taylor does not care one bit about your opinion the only thing that matters is that he finds her attractive. I think the pic at the bottom of the screen is just a bad pic. I clicked on her name in the story and there was a very nice pic of her and she is quite beautiful. I am shocked and appalled at the complete arrogance and ignorance of some of the people on here. I did not realize we had so many perfect people in the world. You would have to be completely flawless to say such mean and evel things about another human being with complete disregard to the fact that they have feelings too. You people are unbelievable in saying that his music sucks and that he is a one hit wonder. Let me say one final thing and that is just because you do not like the kind of music he sings.

And the poor guy had to have his book COMPLETELY ghostwritten. He cannot utter a sentence without 'cool' or 'you know' in it. Of course, maybe you think of that as highly educated.

207. Just watched an interview Taylor did in b'ham this week (youtube). When they asked him about his personal life and the man (oops, I mean women!) in the pics he said "Taylor is happy" with this weird little grin. OMG this guys asks like he is some huge star? The next Elvis! Make me puke! Elvis's big toe had more talent then this gay clown. The guy is a has been and will continue to play at small venues for now until eventually he is back to the crappy bars of the south driving a mini van. Gag me with the book deal too! 210. #206 hmm... College non compete. I go by the careful speech. And especially by the songs he writes for his albums. The original songs he pens with lyrics such as "I've been working with the hearts metlurrgy" with imagery like, " I climbed the ladder baby and you took the fall, " that has melody that makes you "hear" the rain hitting the porch... with symbolism and metaphors like, "where do you go when the map is full, who gets cut when the knife is dull?" With heart and soul such as, "sometimes we get weary and find ourselves alone, in a world full of darkness yeah, for those who have no home, this time, but now loves taken its toll so far, living off heart and soul" WHICH everytime reminds me of the New Orleans victims after Katrina.

Its so poignant.

As far as him using the words at times such as "cool "and "You know.". All I can say to that is he must be tired of having his words and thoughts misconstrued and used against him. At least they are positive, and unless I miss my guess, I have always thought that people that said, "you know" were ones that USUALLY were kind hearted people that just wanted to make sure those less educated understood, or at the very least were not educated just kind, trying to relate.

I would much rather have him writing songs like that and going to his concerts, and someday hope to meet him too, then to waste my time here. But like a train wreck I am back for more punishment.

Truly I hope this educated man and woman, found some peace and rest on a beach on vacation and I hope to heaven they don't either one read this site. (a Taylor Hicks fan in case you haven't guessed)
